What is a JD?
Juris Doctor. This is a law degree. Most attorneys in the United States have the JD degree.
What is an MEd?
Master of Education. George has a Master of Education, specifically in Community Counseling, from Loyola University Chicago. This degree concerns counseling, not in the area of law, but in the area of psychology and mental health. This degree allowed George to obtain his license as a Professional Counselor.
What is an LPC?
Licensed Professional Counselor. After obtaining his MEd, George qualified for and passed the Illinois exam for licensure as a Professional Counselor. A Licensed Professional Counselor counsels people, not in the area of law, but in the area of psychology and mental health.
